Paws for tea 2013 round up
Our tea party finished on 10 May but we want your tea party’s to carry on! So if you fancy having a tea party, we would love to know what you’re planning, please register below.
We would like to thank all of our supporters who registered for our tea party, we had an all-time record number of people register for the event - a massive total of 1,039 registrations to help sick, injured and homeless pets across the UK. If you held your own tea party and raised money for Blue Cross please donate online.
Our tea party had great support from all over the country. We held our own tea party at Covent Garden, where we were joined by some famous faces for tea and cake. Some of the celebs that turned up to support us were... Jessica Lowndes, Nikki Graham, Cheska Hull, Gabriella Ellis and Lizzie Cundy (a few even brought their pets!).
Organise your own Tea Party
Choose a time and find a venue. It could be anywhere from your home or garden to your school, work place or even the local village hall or community centre.
Invite everyone. Make a guest list and get the word out, whether it’s by email, Facebook, phone or post. Our posters and invites can help, please call us if you want more.
Plan the day. Are you going to bake your own treats or stock up at the supermarket? Perhaps a friend or relative could do some baking? Why not organise a raffle too?
We desperately need your help
Did you know that more than 100,000 stray dogs are picked up by local authorities each year and thousands are put to sleep because no homes can be found for them?
Last year Blue Cross took in more than 8,000 homeless pets and looked after 30,000 poorly animals. But more pets are being needlessly killed, badly kept and abandoned. We’ve seen 40 per cent more stray and abandoned animals compared to two years ago. We need your support now so that we can help as many pets in need as possible.
