Calling all pet lovers! May 10 2013 is the Blue Cross annual tea party event -  and it is going to be bigger than ever. Register now and download our tea party host pack. It has been designed especially for you to make planning your event fun and easy, no matter how large or small it is.

Tips on how to get your tea party going

Getting started

Choose a time. The official day is Friday 10 May, but if you can’t make it, just hold your tea party any time. 

Find a venue. It could be anywhere from your home or garden to your school, work place or even the local village hall or community centre.

Invite everyone. Make a guest list and get the word out, whether it’s by email, Facebook,  phone or post. Our posters and invites can help, please call us if you want more.  

Plan the day. Are you going to bake your own treats or stock up at the supermarket? Perhaps a friend or relative could do some baking? Why not organise a raffle too?

Did you know that more than 100,000 stray dogs are picked up by local authorities each year and thousands are put to sleep because no homes can be found for them?

Last year Blue Cross took in more than 8,000 homeless pets and looked after 30,000 poorly animals. But more pets are being needlessly killed, badly kept and abandoned. We’ve seen 40 per cent more stray and abandoned animals compared to two years ago. We need your support now so that we can help as many pets in need as possible.
