Free talks across the UK promoting responsible pet ownership

What we do

Our vision is that every pet will one day enjoy a healthy life in a happy home. We aim to improve the welfare and quality of life for all pets by developing knowledge, attitudes and behaviours through education. One of the ways in which we do this is through free talks to primary schools and youth groups.

The Education Team offer talks about:

  • dog safety
  • pet care
  • positive relationships with pets

This is to encourage a behaviour change across a generation. In reaching young people we can improve the lives of both future pet owners and stamp out cases of animal cruelty and neglect in the process.

Our class talks are specifically designed to engage young people, inspire empathy and help develop successful people-pet relationships both now and in the future.

Resources for all ages and lesson plans.

Where we have a speaker in your area we can offer a visit. Alternatively talks are available online.

Every school should look at having a Blue Cross talk to help build empathy towards animals.
