From poorly pooch to much-loved pet – Jasper’s Blue Cross journey

15 May 2012

Life wasn’t going too well for collie crossbreed Jasper, who came to Blue Cross because his owner was unwell.

The two-year-old became poorly too and needed to have some surgery when he developed a large swelling on his flank.

Jasper was also slightly lame and needed to rest his leg.

Soon Jasper was feeling better but, after such a rough time of it, we really hoped that this poor boy wouldn’t have to wait too long to find a home.

All poor Jasper wanted was a loving new family to look after him and, finally, his dream came true when our Burford rehoming centre found him the perfect home.

His new owners had owned a collie before and were looking for a dog to have fun with and take out for long walks.

It was just what Jasper could have hoped for and he’s now gone off to start life with his new family.

Blue Cross has been dedicated to sick, injured and unwanted pets since 1897. We’re a charity so the more help you give us, the more help we can give pets. Please make a donation today.
