Blue Cross finds stray dog Layla a new home – and a new friend

22 May 2012

When stray dog Layla came to Blue Cross she was underweight and lacking in social skills – now she’s healthy and enjoying life in a happy home.

German shepherd dog Layla was picked up by the local council and later brought to our Burford rehoming centre so we could find her a new home.

While she adored people, she was a bit worried about being around other dogs and she was given a tailor-made training and behaviour plan to help her get used to being in canine company and to develop her social skills.

Once she was ready, we found Layla a happy new home and we’re delighted to hear that she’s doing really well and has already made a new dog friend.

Blue Cross has been dedicated to sick, injured and unwanted pets since 1897. We’re a charity so the more help you give us, the more help we can give pets. Please make a donation today.
