Blue Cross is inviting pet owners across the country to nominate their favourite veterinary nurse to become Veterinary Nurse of the Year 2012.

The annual award recognises the dedication of vet nurses, not only in caring for sick and injured animals but also teaching people about responsible pet ownership and improving the welfare of pets in their community. 

The award will be presented at the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) Annual Congress in October.

If you know a vet nurse who goes above and beyond to help pets, you can nominate them online today. The deadline is Friday, 17 August 2012.
