Seven-year-old animal hero Ella Shannon-Smith has proven that you’re never too young to do your bit for sick and unwanted pets.

Ella (pictured, right, with her friend) decided she wanted to fundraise for Blue Cross because she loves animals and her aunt works at our Leamington Spa charity shop.

She came up with the idea of hosting a stall and she sold homemade cakes and crown-shaped biscuits to celebrate the Jubilee.

She even donated her own toys and books to sell and was helped out by her friends and rescue dog Biley.

Ella raised an impressive £58.20, which will go towards helping the thousands of pets we take in and care for every year. Thanks Ella!
