Four hungry kittens found hiding in derelict shed
02 Jul 2012Four hungry, flea-ridden kittens have been rescued by Blue Cross after they were found living in an abandoned shed with their mum.
Lilly and her litter were brought to our Grimsby animal hospital after a man who was renovating a property discovered the cat’s hideout.
As well as a warm bed and lots of TLC we gave them essential veterinary treatment to make sure that the kittens grew up into healthy cats.
Tracy Lang, Blue Cross vet nurse, says: “Lilly and her kittens all needed to be treated for fleas and the kittens had sore eyes so we bathed them throughout the day and gave them soothing ointment to help clear up the infection.
“Within just a few days Lilly had grown in confidence and the kittens were all bright and happy. Lilly’s a really good mum and allowed us to take care of her kittens.”
Now that the kittens have all grown up and been rehomed, lovely Lilly (pictured here) is looking for a home of her own. If you’d like to offer her one, please visit her rehoming profile.
