Fresh start for kittens dumped in plastic bag
04 Jul 2012Five kittens found scared and alone in a tied up plastic bag have happy, healthy futures to look forward to after being rehomed by Blue Cross.
The bag had been thrown into a tree in Luton. We’re not sure but we think they may have been thrown out of a passing car.
The abandoned kittens were extremely distressed and were heard crying by a passerby who rescued them.
A couple of them were breathing very heavily, because of both stress and heat, but after they were given some food and water they began to relax.
They were brought to the Blue Cross Hertfordshire rehoming centre were they could get the care they needed, as well as veterinary treatment because two of them had conjunctivitis.
Within a few days the youngsters, named Socks, Clarence, Nero, Fluffy and Ozzy were all looking and feeling much better and they blossomed into healthy kittens.
We’ve now found them all loving new homes where they can forget their terrible start to life and enjoy their future.
We’ve taken in nearly 600 unwanted kittens so far this year. If you’d like to help us care for more pets like Socks and his siblings please make a donation.
