Homeless Chinese crested dog Alan is feeling ruff
13 Jul 2012
Don’t be fooled by his macho name – Alan the Chinese crested dog is in need of some serious pampering.
The poor pooch was found as a stray and picked up by the dog warden. His teeth were in a bad way and he also had a sore eye.
He came to the Blue Cross rehoming centre in Southampton where we gave him the veterinary care he needed and he’s now ready to find a new home with owners who can give him the love – and special care – he needs.
Alan will need sun cream to be rubbed into the paler bits of his skin during the summer and he’ll need to wear a coat in the winter to keep warm.
Chinese crested dogs are well known for their quirky appearance and usually win the top spot in ugliest dog competitions, but Alan really hopes someone will see past his looks.
He’s a friendly boy who loves being out and about, going on walks and hanging out with people.
