Stray three-legged Blue Cross cat Jedi has the force

16 Jul 2012

A three-legged cat who also has a problem with his eyesight has proven that nothing’s a match for his feline instincts.

Blue Cross staff were amazed at how confidently Jedi jumped on to raised shelves in his pen, found his food without problems and searched out people so he could have a fuss made of him.

His impressive antics, despite all his heath woes, are what inspired us to call him Jedi, after the agile and formidable Star Wars characters.

Blue Cross centre manager Alan Maskell says: “The force is strong with this one, and to watch Jedi move about his pen, you wouldn’t realise that his eyesight was so poor or that he only has three legs.”

Jedi was a stray who was brought to our Victoria animal hospital and, after no one claimed him, he was transferred to our Cambridge rehoming centre

He was dirty, covered in fleas, had terribly sore skin and was also suffering from a degenerative eye condition.

But things are now looking up for this tenacious moggy after we found him a loving new home.
