Injured kitten Lucky is nursed back to health at Blue Cross

13 Aug 2012

A stray kitten found injured by the side of the road has had a change in fortune after finding a loving new home.

The black kitten, named Lucky by the Blue Cross team who looked after him, was in a bit of a bad way when he arrived at our Lewknor rehoming centre.

The injuries to his face suggested that he may have been attacked by another animal.

Poor Lucky was only a few weeks old and we don’t know what had happened for him to end up all alone by the roadside.

Blue Cross animal welfare assistant Jess Hollis says: “We treated Lucky’s wounds with antibiotics and, fortunately, he recovered really well without needing any surgery.

Jess adds: “Lucky is a very loving and affectionate kitten who, despite his ordeal, will make a wonderful companion, and we were really pleased when he was rehomed.”
