Blue Cross finds stray dog Wesley a home to call his own

21 Aug 2012

A stray dog who had to learn to trust people all over again is now enjoying life with a family of his own.

Wesley was picked up by the dog warden, who brought him to the Blue Cross Burford rehoming centre so we could find him a new home.

Because of his troubled past Wesley was really nervous when he first arrived so our staff had to start from scratch, slowly building up his confidence and teaching him to trust people.

Wesley settled into the centre but really wanted a home with owners who could give him the time and patience he needed to get used to life with a new family.

His wish came true and he’s now enjoying life in a loving new home.

Blue Cross has already taken in more than 1,100 stray or abandoned pets like Wesley so far this year and we know there are many more that need our help.
