Cat and her kitten stay together thanks to The Blue Cross18 Feb 2012
A stray cat and her tiny kitten have found a new home together after being brought to Blue Cross.
When Kendra and seven-week-old Kitty were found, they had been living rough and were in poor health. The rest of Kendra’s litter had sadly died.
At the Blue Cross Cambridge rehoming centre, Kendra was given a quiet cage with plenty of hiding spaces so she could care for her newborn in peace.
Both mum and daughter grew stronger day by day, and Blue Cross staff worked with them to help them gain confidence around people.
Eventually Kitty was weaned and Kendra returned to good health. Through our rehoming scheme, they were placed in a new home where they now receive the love and attention they deserve.
