Skin condition leaves dog Pickle needing emergency treatment

02 Apr 2012

Poor Pickle was in a bit of a state when she came to Blue Cross earlier this year.

The little terrier crossbreed had developed a skin condition which, despite numerous visits to the vet, was becoming worse and worse.

By the time she got to Blue Cross her skin had become infected, she had developed abscesses and she needed emergency treatment.

We rushed her to our Victoria animal hospital where we could give her the care she needed and, after her treatment, Pickle was returned to our Lewknor rehoming centre to recover.

Pickle is now feeling much better and is really hoping to find a family who’ll give her lots of love.

Animal welfare assistant Jess Hollis says: “Despite all the difficulties she has endured, Pickle is such a sweet natured girl who loves everybody.

“She loves her food and cuddles and plays with her toys all day long in her kennel.”

Jess adds: “She would make a lovely pet and is just looking for that special someone who will look past her illness and love her for her.”
