Why Lynn turned to the Pets into Care scheme
Tinka and Quinn's future is planned out
For many animal lovers, the thought of what will happen if their pets outlive them can be extremely stressful.
Lynn knows what it feels like all too well. She has two cats, Tinka and Quinn, and she constantly worried about what might happen in the future.
She says: “I don’t have any family so there isn’t really anyone who would be able to step in and take the cats.
“Because of health problems I’m at home a lot of the time and my cats have been wonderful company but I’ve always worried about who would look after them if anything happened to me and it’s played on my mind a lot.”
Blue Cross Pets into Care scheme was exactly what Lynn needed to give her peace of mind.
You can register your pet on the scheme free of charge and it means that we will take them in and rehome them should anything happen to you.
Lynn already knew about Blue Cross because we helped to treat her dog in the 1970s and she has used our Pet Bereavement Support Service to help her get over the loss of much-loved pets in the past.
She was delighted when she found out we also have a Pets into Care scheme and her cats have been registered for more than five years.
She says: “It was just what I had been praying for. I’m very grateful I no longer have to worry and should anything happen to me I now know they are in safe hands.”
Lynn adds: “I’ve left a legacy to Blue Cross in my will to say thanks for looking after my pets.”
