Volunteer Community Dog Walker

On Going

Locations: at present we are only looking for volunteers in the Acton, Elephant and Castle and Streatham areas of London.

Become a volunteer community dog walker and help the Blue Cross improve the welfare of dogs in your local community by giving them the exercise they require, and also their owners by helping them keep their companions in their homes when they are unable to meet the dogs exercise needs.

As a volunteer you will assist with exercising dogs belonging to infirm, elderly and disabled owners in your local community.

This is an ideal role for someone looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity to help dogs close to their home.  It would suit someone who has good experience handling animals, ideally having worked/volunteered with dogs or owned dogs, a kind and caring manner towards the public and the ability to work comfortably alone.

The role is flexible at times to suit the volunteer and owner, but we do ask for a minimum of one exercise session a week.

Volunteers must be age 18 years and over.
