Animal charity sets up shop in Bromsgrove

bromsgrove2

The Blue Cross has opened the doors of its newest charity shop on Bromsgrove High Street, giving shoppers a chance to beat the credit crunch with some Christmas bargains. The official opening ceremony took place on Friday 14 November, when Bromsgrove MP, Julie Kirkbride, declared the shop open alongside BBC Radio WM personality Mollie Green and her dog.

Julie Kirkbride MP explains: “I’m really happy to be supporting a great charity like The Blue Cross in their new venture. The adoption centre has been doing fantastic work with animals in and around Bromsgrove for many years, and hopefully this new shop will mean local people can show their support to help even more needy pets in the area.”

Pam Hoult, new Blue Cross shop manager in Bromsgrove said: “The shop has already been really busy and we’re so thankful for all the donations we’ve received. Hopefully the fact that The Blue Cross has long standing support in Bromsgrove will mean that business will be brisk.”

Animal lovers who are able to spare time to volunteer in the shop are invited to contact the manager on 01527 570767. Any saleable donations of clothes, household bric-a-brac and books will be gratefully received at The Blue Cross charity shop, 127 High Street, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 8AE.
