Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels

Function: Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK) began its operations in 2000. As a result of a local fundraising appeal, the charity opened its doors to a purpose built facility in January 2007.

BARK is located to the north of Berwick town centre, covering a catchment area south to Tyne & Wear and north into the Scottish borders.

Jan Ross manages the centre on a day-to-day basis. The new facility provides accommodation for 10 dogs and 10 cats, with a separate housing facility for rabbits and guinea pigs.

In addition, there is a BARK charity shop in Berwick town centre.
