Sponsor a pony

If you are considering offering a permanent, caring home to a Blue Cross horse or pony, to enable it to live an active and contented life please let us know.

Simply complete the Borrower's application form (ridden equine) or a companion application form (companion equine) and return it. Our professional staff then assess each application, and go to great lengths to ensure the animal is right for the potential new home. This includes:

  • Checking the animal is suited to both the environment in which it will live, and the ability and needs of the potential borrower (the person who will take the horse on loan)
  • Ensuring a borrower gets to know the animal before it is rehomed
  • Undertaking twice-yearly home visits to check that all is going well

If you are interested in applying to adopt, you can search for a horse, pony or donkey currently available.
