Dedicated and trained Blue Cross personnel work in support of the attending veterinary surgeon to deal with immediate equine emergencies and take injured horses to a safe place for treatment.

Safety at shows and events

Riding and driving are high risk sports, and equestrian competitions can place considerable demands on both horse and rider in terms of fitness, skill and concentration. Whether a horse strikes itself on the flat or falls jumping, lame and injured horses need to be removed safely from the arena or the course, so they may receive immediate first aid while enabling the event to continue.
