The process

Do you want to help pets in need of short-term foster care?
Would you be able to provide a cat with a loving home until a permanent home is found?

To help us rehome even more pets in England and Wales, we are looking to recruit volunteers to provide short term foster care for cats until suitable permanent  homes can be found.

If you would like more information on becoming a volunteer on our foster scheme, download our Foster carer and coordinator leaflet or call 01993 825542 or email fostering@bluecross.org.uk

Volunteer roles
We are looking for volunteers to be cat foster carers, particularly in Kent, Surrey, Staffordshire, Carlisle and Cleveland. The carers will provide daily animal care.

Foster cats usually live in chalet accommodation, probably in garden. All related costs are paid by The Blue Cross, including cat chalet accommodation, food, bedding, veterinary treatment and any behavioural advice.

Do you live in Scotland?
We have a relationship with Pet Fostering Service Scotland and are looking for volunteers to help us in a variety of roles. For more information visit the Pet Fostering Service Scotland page on our website.
