Veterinary Care Fund

Grimsby, Hammersmith, Merton, and Victoria

All four Blue Cross hospitals are equipped to deal with a variety of veterinary problems – ranging from routine neutering to complex spinal surgery – carried out by more than 100 staff.

Most visitors see only the bustling reception and waiting areas, but behind this facade, there is an equally busy team of dedicated vets and nurses devoted to providing animal care round the clock. The canine victim of a road accident, a cat that has fallen from a balcony, a rabbit with a nasty abscess are all typical treatments at Blue Cross hospitals.

Excellent standards of care

The hospitals are all equipped to a high standard. The Blue Cross is committed to ensuring every animal receives the best possible care. All vets are fully qualified, and many have additional qualifications in a particular area. The veterinary nurses undergo a rigorous two-year training course, and many continue further education afterwards.
