Opening hours are the same every day: from 10.00am to 12.00pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The clinic provides free treatment for straightforward problems such as rashes and ear conditions, but we do ask customers to leave a donation towards the cost of treatments like vaccinations, microchipping and flea and worm treatments. The mobile clinic contains a lot of equipment to diagnose and treat animals. If the vet decides further tests or treatment are needed that cannot be carried out in the van, the owner is referred to The Blue Cross animal hospital in Victoria. A client's story *The Blue Cross weekly vet clinic in Hackney moves to Bethnal Green until the New Year The Blue Cross mobile veterinary clinic, held every Wednesday in the car park of Hackney Town Hall, has relocated to Bethnal Green Road street market. This is due to road resurfacing work outside Hackney Town Hall. The service is expected to return to Hackney in the New Year. Pet owners eligible for the charity's vet service are advised to use 106 or 254 bus routes if they need to take their pet to the clinic until the Hackney service resumes in 2010. The Blue Cross mobile vet clinic serves four London boroughs in the East End. The service is for pet owners on a low income who would not otherwise be able to see a private vet. Pet owners must be on a means tested benefit or state retirement pension with no other income. The Blue Cross mobile in Hackney is every Wednesday between 10.00am and 12.00pm and 1.30pm and 3.30pm. The service in Bethnal Green will now be every Monday and Wednesday at the same opening times. |
