Ecuador horse trek
Dates: 5-13 February 2009
Early 2009, a group of adventurers took part in a horse trek challenge through the high Andes of Ecuador, across vast grassy plains and remote areas between the snow-capped volcanoes. Accompanied by skilled local horsemen and bilingual guides, they rode through stunning scenery, visited only by local chagras (cowhands) and had a good chance of seeing the mighty Andean condor soaring overhead.
