Dooby's Story

It was a cold wet night when Dooby was left on the side of the road. His owners didn’t want him anymore as they were moving to a smaller house.

Poor Dooby was very cold, hungry and sad so he curled up under a bush to try to keep warm.

The next morning, a kind man spotted Dooby and picked him up. He put him in a car with a warm rug and took him to a Blue Cross adoption centre.

Dooby was checked over to make sure he wasn’t hurt. Then he was given some dog food. It tasted so good after his hungry night.

Dooby then went to sleep in the warm kennel.

After two weeks Dooby was spotted by a family. They were looking for a new dog after their old one had sadly died.

Now in his new home, the family love to play with Dooby and enjoy taking him to a dog club every Tuesday night.

He is once again a happy dog.
