Rosie's Story
Rosie lived in a garden with her rabbit friend. In the daytime they would be put on the lawn in a pen to eat grass and play.
Then, at the end of the day, her owner would put them in the safe hutch where they would snuggle into bed.
One day, while out on the grass, Rosie decided to do some digging to make a nice place to lie in when she rested.
But as she was burrowing she felt a sharp pain in her eye. A small, pointed stone had scratched her eye and made it very sore.
Rosie rubbed her face but that seemed to make it worse. By the time her owner came to put Rosie back into the hutch, the eye had puffed up and Rosie couldn't see very well.
Her owner took Rosie to a Blue Cross animal hospital. The vet gently looked at her sore eye and put in some special drops that made it feel much better.
Back at home Rosie's owner put the drops in the eye each day until it was better.
Rosie felt very special that her owner and The Blue Cross had looked after her so well.
