My family took me back to visit The Blue Cross centre where they found me. It looked very different because there were stalls selling food and dog toys and a roundabout too. There were lots of people with other dogs that they had rehomed from The Blue Cross.

A Blue Cross man came and stroked me because he remembered me and the other puppies. Of course, I am so much bigger now but my family say that I am not full grown yet.

We were walking around the fair and guess who I saw? It was my sister Flo! She was with her new family but we spotted each other and played together. Flo likes her new home. She is the only dog there and plays with the boys in her family. She likes going for walks but she does not like the car as it makes her feel unwell. I used to be like that too but now I am better because I am older.

Flo and I are very lucky to find such nice homes. The Blue Cross always make sure that their animals go to good people who will care for their pets and love them forever.

I now walk on pavements when I go outside. The people I meet look very tall and I like to jump up to say hello. However, this isn’t the right thing to do as the people turn away when I do this. If I sit down they stroke me so I do that instead.

I also go to puppy training classes with my family. There are other puppies there but we aren’t allowed to play together as we have to concentrate. I am learning to walk on the lead without pulling and to wait before I go through a doorway. When I do the right action I get some lovely meaty treats.

Last Saturday I went to a dog show. I met lots of dogs and my boy took me into the show ring. I had to walk around and a lady stroked me all over. Then I got a red rosette because I was the winner. I was very tired after my day out and when I went home a slept for a long time.

Everyday I go to the office with the lady. I have a bed under her desk and we go for walks in the field outside. There are some nice people at work who give me lots of cuddles. It’s much better than being at home where I would be bored. I’m not allowed to chew the wires or the furniture so I have toys to chew instead. My teeth get very itchy because my big teeth are pushing the small teeth out and I sometimes I want to chew all the time.

September 2008

Such a lot has happened since last month! The family that visited me in August came back for a visit and took me to their house. The other two dogs were there too and I now live with them! The first night I was a bit lonely so I snuggled up to the grey dog and felt much better.

My new family took me to see the vet and she gave me some medicine by injection so that I won't catch any nasty diseases. I didn't really notice the injection because I was looking around the room. I also had a tiny microchip put under my skin so that if I get lost I will be returned to my owners. I now wear a red collar with a disc that has my address on it.

My owner says that I am too young to walk on the pavements as I still might catch an illness. However, she says that I need to see the world so that I don't get frightened when I am older.

One day I went to a puppy party. There were five other puppies there and we were cuddled by lots of different people. We played together and some of us were quite noisy, but that didn't matter. Then on Saturday my family carried me in a big bag to a place where there were lots of people, shops and cars. I looked out of the top of the bag as they carried me around. It was really interesting, and there was so much to see! Lots of people came to say hello and to stroke me.

This world is a really interesting place. I can’t wait until I can walk on the pavement in a couple of weeks. There is so much to see and do.

August 2008

I’m only eight-weeks-old and I’ve had quite a busy life already. When I was born I lived in a home with my family. My mum had very long legs and could run really fast. There were kind people that looked after us. My three sisters, two brothers and I played all day long.

Last week we went in the big moving box and came to a new home at The Blue Cross. My mum didn’t come with us and I missed her quite a bit the first day. The people who play with us here are great fun and we have lots of toys. We have a great big bed to sleep in and outside it is warm and sunny. There are a lot of other dogs and cats here and many different smells.

Yesterday a family came to see us. They took me outside and gave me a cuddle. A little while later they came back to see me with two other dogs. I let them sniff me and then played with one of them. He had long, furry ears and I tried to chew them but he didn’t let me. Then I went back to my brothers and sisters. I wonder if I will see those people again?
