Cares for: dogs and cats The centre opened in 1970, following 23 years at another location in Walton. A rebuild followed in 1999 and provided a new reception, kitten unit, toilets, and admissions unit. A large area is covered by the centre, but it mainly services Suffolk, Essex, parts of Cambridgeshire, and parts of Norfolk. There are 24 adoption cat chalets and 12 adoption dog kennels. We also have spaces for incoming cats, kittens and an isolation unit. We are always happy to hear from potential volunteers, but all our volunteers must be over 16.
