London catchment area Victoria services south and east London postcodes for owners on means tested benefits, or a sufficiently low income. Those with W1 and W2 postcodes can also come here. Exceptions: SW17, SW18, SW19, SW20, SM4, CR4, KT3 should go to Merton during working hours. SW6, SW13, SW14, SW15 are closer to Putney RSPCA. If you are an owner with a south-east, or east London postcode, and in receipt of housing benefit, it may be better to register with PDSA services in Thamesmead, New Cross, Croydon or Bow. Also, RSPCA services Camberwell and Harmsworth. Owners seeking our help from outlying areas in the south-east (such as Beckenham, Bromley, Sidcup, or Bexley) will be judged on a case-by-case basis. All north London areas are too far from Victoria to register with us. Pet owners from this area should register with the RSPCA Harmsworth, Hendon or Kilburn. However, we will see owners from NW8, as it is easier to get to our Victoria animal hospital by bus than to any other charity. Owners who we accept are homeless are eligible to bring their animals to us, as are those referred to us by The Hope Clinic (please ensure you have a referral letter). |
