LOCAL CHARITY OFFERS NEW VET SERVICE

The Blue Cross adoption centre in Bromsgrove will be caring for even more of the area’s needy pets with a new veterinary service due to begin on 19 April.

A vet will be attending the centre on Tuesdays between 2 and 4pm, and will see ten to twelve animals per session. The service is intended for people who cannot afford private vets’ fees, so clients would be asked to show proof of income.

Centre manager, Neil Edwards said: ”We are really excited about having a vet on site to help people and their pets. This is part of The Blue Cross’s dedication to the animals of Bromsgrove and the surrounding area, and we hope it will be very successful.”

The Blue Cross relies entirely on donations from the public, so people using the service will be asked to make a donation to cover some of the costs of the treatment their animals receive.

Anyone who would like to find out more about the new vet service should call Neil Edwards at The Blue Cross adoption centre in Bromsgrove on 0121 453 3130 or visit Wildmoor Lane, Catshill, Bromsgrove, Worcs. There is also a leaflet available explaining the new service.
