Two Blue Cross animal adoption centres in Devon are appealing for rural homes for a number of cats that were rescued from a colony of 50 in Torpoint earlier this year. Many of the cats rescued from the house have been rehomed, but The Blue Cross centres in Tiverton and Torbay are desperate to find owners for fourteen of the cats that have yet to find permanent loving homes. Rural locations will suit these cats best, and some will need to be the only pet. All of the cats are ginger, or dark ginger, with white markings, and they have all been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Laura Valentine, manager of the Torbay centre, said: These cats have had a hard start in life and now they deserve to go to good homes. Polar, Herbie, and Minnie and just three of the seven cats from Torpoint we have here. If anyone would like to adopt a cat and has a rural home where the cats can relax in peace and quiet, we would really love to hear from them. Damian Harrison, manager of the Tiverton centre, said: Klaus, Sassy, Kim and others have been with us for a few months now. One of them has even had a litter of kittens while shes been here. We would love to find them new homes, as these cats need a place to call their own. Please get in touch if you think you could rehome one of these cats. The Tiverton centre is located at Chilton Gate, Bickleigh, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 8RS. For more information please call 01884 855 291.
