Torbay coffee morning

The Blue Cross small animal adoption centre in Torbay is throwing open its doors to the public on Saturday 1 October for a coffee morning and cake sale.

The Blue Cross centre, in Ashley Priors Lane, Watcombe, rehomes cats and will be welcoming animal lovers and people wanting to learn more about this valuable work from 11am until 1pm.

Animal lovers will be able to see first hand how a Blue Cross centre is run and staff will be on hand to answer any questions about adopting animals from The Blue Cross and to give tours of the centre.

With a raffle, bric-a-brac, Blue Cross gifts and Christmas cards, home-made cakes and refreshments, there will be something for everyone.

For directions and more details about the open day, or to find out more about adopting a cat from The Blue Cross, call the centre on: 01803 327728.

Notes to editors
The Blue Cross is Britain's pet charity, providing practical support, information and advice for pet and horse owners. Through its network of animal adoption centres it rehomes thousands of animals each year. Its hospitals provide veterinary care for the pets of people who cannot afford private vets' fees.
