I volunteered for Rotherham Dog Rescue when I found Nanook with his friend Alaska, wandering the streets in a very poor condition. The rescue took them in and I cared for them for six months until they were lucky enough to find Wendy and Garry who fell in love with them both and decided to adopt them. This was shortlived for Nanook who became ill and died on 17th March 2005.
Nookie you will be missed - you were dearly loved by all that met you. Nanook had a wonderful few months with Wendy and Garry for which I can't thank them enough. Rest in peace Nookie - you changed a lot of people's lives.
