Work on new cattery developments at the Cambridge adoption centre and the site of the new adoption centre in Lewknor, is progressing well. Cambridge is getting new catteries with a capacity of 45 double units, veterinary inspection rooms, laundry facilities and kitchens. Work started in September 2004 and should be completed this year. Following the successful purchase last year of the old Hearing Dogs for the Deaf site at Postcombe, near Oxford, work began in October 2004 on the new cattery development. They will have a holding capacity of 36 double units, veterinary rooms, a kitchen and storage space. In addition to the new construction, work is also being carried out to the existing buildings on the site, including new veterinary facilities and upgrading of residential accommodation and general infrastructure. |
