The Blue Cross is delighted to have received praise in parliament for its work in rehoming needy pets. Andrew Rosindell, MP for Romford, put down an Early Day Motion in the Commons on 30th November singing the praises of the charity. The Blue Cross is pleased to see its work being recognised at top level. High acclaim for good work The motion stated that the House of Commons commends the work of The Blue Cross in finding homes for pets that would otherwise be destroyed; and noted that almost 6,000 unwanted animals have found new, caring homes each year and that the charity cares for the pets until such homes can be found. The Blue Cross was commended for aiming to never to turn away an animal in need and never putting a healthy animal to sleep just because it had no home. Acknowledgement for staff and volunteers The Commons acknowledged with gratitude that The Blue Cross animal adoption service takes great pains to ensure that the animals are matched to owners that are right for them and pays tribute to all the staff and volunteers who work so hard all year round to improve the lives of pets. |
