The Blue Cross has teamed up with Dogpeople, an organisation that aims to provide help for people looking for dog friendly leisure activities.

Research shows many dog owners don't know what holiday opportunities exist, with some putting their dogs into kennels before jetting off to an overseas destination. Day-trippers stay at home, or don't venture to enjoy a meal after a walk, because they think their dog may be unwelcome. Dogpeople aims to tackle these problems and help dog lovers find what they've been missing. The Dogpeople website provides responsible dog owners with leisure planning information.

The company provides directories of pubs and other places to eat, accommodation and places to visit.  Accommodation information is in separate directories of hotels, B&Bs, self catering and holiday parks.
