We are pleased to announce that two new companion animal welfare organisations have been added to our list of Welfare Associates which brings the total to five. The Blue Cross works closely with a number of organisations on its core aims of promoting animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. The programme gives us the opportunity to work alongside organisations whose aims are in tune with our own. The two new associates are The Mayflower Sanctuary in Doncaster and Les Amis des Chats in Roquecor in south west France. The Mayflower rehomes the dogs and cats received from wardens, local authorities and direct from the public from an area of England where the welfare need is still great. The sanctuary will put the Blue Cross grant to good use, especially educating and training existing staff in key areas, such as animal behaviour. Les Amis des Chats focuses on fostering and rehoming cats in an area of huge and growing demand, as well as running neutering initiatives for both owned cats and strays. The Blue Cross grant will be invaluable in ensuring they are able to continue and grow their vital work. Read more about these two charities and our other associates and connected charities. |
