Pets and housing: a positive Pathway

We'd like to hear from you if you have lived or are currently living in social housing and have a positive story to tell about your pet. This is because The Blue Cross has contributed to a new set of housing guidelines, produced by Pathway - a pets and housing working group which promotes responsible pet ownership and advises housing providers on developing positive pet policies. 

The guidelines come after years of research and consultation, and will advise housing providers how to incorporate pet-friendly policies into their housing agreements. The document will be launched at the annual conference for the Chartered Institute of Housing in June.

Pathway was formed in 1995 and includes representatives from most of the major animal welfare organisations, the veterinary profession and housing sector. The Dogs Trust provides secretariat for the group.
