Our Droitwich shop opening

The Blue Cross has set up a new charity shop in Droitwich, providing local shoppers with a worthwhile excuse to continue their new year bargain hunting. The shop will officially be opened by the Mayor of Droitwich Spa, Richard Morris, and MP Peter Luff on Friday 1 February.

We are inviting local residents to join in the celebrations and visit the shop for the opening. Members of the public will have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine with staff and find out more about the work of The Blue Cross, from 3.30pm on 1 February.

Blue Cross shop manager, Aimee Stallard said: "Since we opened our doors we've been really busy with lots of visitors, so we couldn't have asked for a better welcome. We've had lots of generous donations, including a rowing machine, watches and other brand new items, which is fantastic.

"All the money raised goes towards the sick and homeless animals cared for by The Blue Cross at its adoption centres and hospitals."

The Blue Cross shop sells clothes and accessories, books, household items, toys and a range of greetings cards. It also stocks Blue Cross information and pet care advice literature.

  • Animal lovers who are able to spare time to volunteer in the shop are invited to contact the manager on 01905 795316.
  • Any saleable donations of clothes, household bric-a-brac and books will be gratefully received at The Blue Cross charity shop, 15 St Andrews Street, Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, WR9 8DY.
