Animal lovers flock to All About Pets

Have you ever wondered why your rabbit can eat radishes, why your cat always seems to prefer eating at your neighbour’s house or whether it’s normal if your puppy hates being groomed? Thousands of animal lovers are finding answers to these questions and more at a new social network, www.allaboutpets.org.uk.

Billed as the ‘Facebook for pet lovers’, All About Pets has been developed by Britain’s pet charity The Blue Cross to give animal lovers a new way to communicate, and a place where they can meet like-minded people to talk about pets and share experiences or advice.  It also hosts a range of over 80 pet care advice leaflets from The Blue Cross, such as ‘Caring for your kitten’ and ‘How to play with your cat’.

Animal enthusiasts can create profiles for themselves and their pets, upload photos or links to videos, showcase their pet’s talents and take part in discussion forums and polls.

Laura Dobson, spokesperson for All About Pets said: “As one of the UK's oldest animal charities, The Blue Cross has a wealth of experience in pet care.  But we also recognise that there are many pet owners out there with their own unique experiences to share. All About Pets is a fun, informative and entertaining website where pet lovers can go to meet like-minded people and celebrate the joys of pet ownership. In time, we hope it will become the place to go to talk and learn about pets.”
