Dylan and Thomas.

Dylan and Thomas, two Yorkshire terriers, Athena a giant rabbit, and Magic and Mystic, two cuddly chinchillas were stars on the first episode of the new series of The Alan Titchmarsh show.

The five animal stars were being looked after at The Blue Cross Burford adoption centre when they appeared on the show.

Dylan and Thomas have found a new home
It's a happy ending for these two Yorkshire terriers, aged 14 and 11-years-old, who have found a new home. These tiny dogs came to The Blue Cross because their elderly owner became ill and could no longer look after them. They are real lap dogs and their favourite past-time is to snuggle on a cosy lap in front of the fire. They’re extremely sweet-natured and affectionate with plenty of time for cuddles. The dogs don't like the cold so they wear woolly jumpers and prefer to be carried rather than going on long walks.

Magic and Mystic are looking for a new home
These two friendly chinchillas are 18-month-old brothers who came to The Blue Cross when their owner moved house. Afternoon naps are a favourite past-time for these chinchillas but they also love getting out of their cage to explore. They are both used to being handled but prefer to come to you - especially if you have a tasty treat (their favourite is a bit of carrot). An experienced owner would be best for this pair, or someone who knows about the needs of chinchillas. The brothers have grown-up together and chinchillas need a friend, so they are now looking for a new home together.

Athena and Apollo have found a new home
Athena (on the show) and her buddy, Apollo, are two giant Flemish rabbits are both 20-weeks-old. They came to The Blue Cross as their owners decided they did not have the time needed to look after them. Luckily, the cheeky pair have found a new home where they love to play football with brussel sprouts! As giants, the rabbits sometimes forget their size and try to squeeze through their shed door at the same time, which is quite amusing! They adore each other and always snuggle up together in their bed.
