The new Blue Cross equine welfare achievement badge has been awarded to five members of the Tiverton Hunt Pony Club. The five members have worked hard to achieve their badge, completing a total of ten Pony Club badges which involve the responsible care and management of horses and ponies. These include Bandaging and rugs; Care of the horses foot; Feeding; First aid; Handling and grooming; Lorinery; Mucking out; Perfect paddock; Saddlery and Shoeing. Volunteers James and Patricia Pugh along with Blue Cross dog Charlie presented the members with the welfare badge and certificate. They also gave a talk on The Blue Cross and the work that we do. |
