Wag Week success at Burford

The first Wag Week at Burford adoption centre (23 – 31 May 2009), was a great success with hundreds of people showing up from near and far to support the animals in our centre.

The event involved a week of fundraising activities, with every member of the adoption centre team being involved in the many activities, which included the centre’s annual sponsored dog walk. Staff partook in a sponsored bike ride (on an exercise bike in reception), a ‘tail and ears’ costume day, and they even spent a night sleeping in the kennels!

Centre manager, Nikki Smith says: “We’re delighted at the number of visitors who turned up to take part in our Wag Week activities. We’re so thankful for all the donations and support that we received, and we hope to hold another Wag Week in 2010.”
