Abandoned Albert

albert

A passenger travelling on the Victoria line has found an abandoned cat in a bag. The tube pulled into Brixton when he heard a miaow and discovered the bag. The animal, who has been nicknamed Albert, appeared to be quite stressed according to the commuter who initially feared the bag might contain a bomb.

Unfortunately, abandoned animals are not uncommon. A Blue Cross survey has revealed that some pet owners would feel too guilty to go to experts for help if they could no longer look after their pet. The Blue Cross fears that these feelings could be the cause of animals being abandoned.

The charity wants to reassure pet owners that they will be welcomed and not judged by staff if they take the responsible decision of handing their pet to an animal adoption centre.

Albert is now being cared for by the staff at the Blue Cross.
