A dog who was found unable to walk and riddled with mange is recovering well.

Patterdale terrier April was handed into our Burford adoption centre after a man found her abandoned in his barn.

She was emaciated, struggling to walk on a poorly leg and partly bald with mange.

Burford deputy centre manager Alyson Jones says: “April was so timid when she first arrived it was as if she had no experience of the outside world. She was even scared of walking on the grass.

“After some TLC, delicious Hill's Science Plan food (kindly donated by Hill's)

and slow introductions to the outside world, she is now recovering well.”

April should be up for rehoming soon so keep an eye out for her on our animals for animals for adoption.
