Bertie needs some love

Meet Bertie. The two-week-old kitten is being hand-reared by Blue Cross staff after being rejected by his mother.

Bertie and his mum came to us as strays. The mum was discovered in someone’s home after she wandered through their catflap.

She disappeared and when she returned she was carrying the kitten.

When the pair arrived at our animal hospital in Victoria, London, the mum wouldn’t care for Bertie so he is now being looked after by our veterinary staff.

He will soon go to a foster home to continue his hand-rearing until he is old enough to be rehomed.
