Happy birthday to our charity shop

A Blue Cross charity shop is celebrating its first birthday after a fabulous debut year.

The Stow-on-the-Wold shop, which was opened last February by designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, has already raised more than £70,000 to help needy animals.

We will be celebrating on Thursday 18 February and would love for you to join us for a slice of cake and to find out more about the work we do.

We are also appealing for more volunteers to join the shop’s busy team.

Shop manager Susan Wathen says: “It’s been a fantastic first year here in Stow – we really feel part of the community and we’d love more local people to get involved.  

“We’re always busy and need extra help sorting donations, displaying stock in the shop and operating the till. It’s not too late to make volunteering your new year’s resolution!”
