She may be eight years old but Suki still thinks shes a puppy. The Akita loves playing with her new family and has even made a four-legged friend. She was adopted by Michelle Horton who saw her profile on The Blue Cross website and went to see her at our centre in Bromsgrove. Michelle spent time getting to know her at the centre before deciding to adopt her. She says: What an absolute delight she is. She has settled into our family very well and has become a much loved member of the family, so much so that we could not imagine our lives without her now. She may be eight years old but she thinks she is eight weeks old. She loves to play and she has even made a doggy friend with a black Labrador that goes for a walk past our house every day. She has learned a new trick, if she wants something she has learned to sit and say please. Michelle adds: She is a typical Akita, very protective of everyone in the house and while she likes to sleep downstairs she does like to have a wander round from room to room during the night checking on everyone.
