Dogs have been striding out to help raise money for needy pets. Around 40 animal lovers and their four-legged friends came to our Torbay adoption centres sponsored dog walk. They braved scorching hot temperatures of 30°C on the hottest day of the year so far, so lots of cool water and shade was required. The walk, at Decoy Country Park, was a great success and has already raised £400 with more money still coming in. The next event for the centre will be an Open Day on Sunday July 11. There will be an auction run by local radio DJ Ben Moseby as well as a Bric-A-Brac stall, bouncy castle and cake stand. Visitors to the centre can also meet the cats needing new homes. If youd like to find out more, please contact the centre. |
