Mobile veterinary clinic returns to Hackney

mobile_clinic200

Our mobile veterinary clinic is returning to Hackney to help more local pets in need.

The weekly service was temporarily suspended due to road resurfacing work.

But from Wednesday, 2 June we will be back to help local pets whose owners can’t afford private vet fees.

The clinic will be held in the car park of the Town Hall, in Mare Street, every Wednesday from 10am to midday and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Pet owners are seen on a first come first served basis and must bring proof of benefit or pension plus identification on each visit.

The Blue Cross mobile clinic has treated needy pets in Hackney since May 2004.

Last year, vets performed more than 800 consultations and nearly 200 cats and dogs were vaccinated against potentially fatal diseases.

The clinic provides basic care, vaccinations, microchipping and friendly advice.

Pets needing more extensive treatment are referred to the charity's animal hospital in Victoria.

The Blue Cross asks for a donation towards the cost of their services and there is a subsidised charge for items such as microchipping and vaccinations.
